Tournament Rules and Conditions – Sandiway Oak - 36 Holes Scratch Competition
1. The Sandiway Oak Open Competition will be played as a Medal Competition over 36 Holes. The Winner of the Competition will be the Competitor returning the lowest gross aggregate score for 36 Holes.
2. The Sandiway Oak is a qualifying competition for Northern Order of Merit points.
3. Any Trophy presented will remain the property of Sandiway Golf Club Ltd on permanent display in the Clubhouse. A memento trophy will be awarded to the winner of the competition along with any monetary prize.
4. Entry to The Sandiway Oak is available to Male Amateur Golfers who are bona fide members of recognised Golf Clubs and are in possession of a WHS Handicap Index not exceeding 3.4 at time of entry.
5. The field will be restricted to the 60 players entered with the lowest playing handicap index when signup closes. A ballot will be used to restrict the field to that number.
6. A Starting Sheet for each round will be displayed on the Sandiway website and sent to those Competitors who have supplied an e-mail address.
7. The Committee will replace players who scratch with Applicants from the reserve list.
8. No refunds will be made once the draw has been finalised on the Wednesday evening prior to the first round.
9. Competitors will be made Temporary Members of Sandiway Golf Club Ltd for the day.
10. In the case of a tie, there will be a count back decided on the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or final hole as may be necessary.
11. Prize Winners are requested to attend the Prize Presentation to accept their prize.
12. Presentation of Prizes will take place following the return and verification of the last playing cards, but it is anticipated to be shortly after 8:00pm. This will be dependent on restrictions in place at the time.
13. Practice rounds for Official Competitors must be arranged through the Professionals shop and will be charged at the Members Guest green fee rate. Tel: 01606 883180
14. Smart Casual Dress is required in the Clubhouse and on the Course.
15. Catering facilities will be available on the day at the players’ expense.
16. The Competition Committee reserve the right to refuse an entry without assigning a reason for such action. The Committee reserves the right to vary the number of competitors or to extend the closing date for entries. Any dispute arising shall be referred to the Committee for their decision which will be final.

18. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd plus Best Gross AM & PM
