What is SafeGolf?
SafeGolf is a partnership of UK golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working, and volunteering in the sport of golf. Its mission is to safeguard the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk, in the sport of golf.
Sandiway Golf Club have appointed Alison Green as the Club's Welfare Officer for players under 18 years or Adults at risk.
Alison has a wealth of knowledge about safeguarding, having had a professional career in the police and within national inspection programmes where her specialism was in this area.
She also sits as a core member of the Cheshire County Governance Committee and is instrumental in the implementation and adherence to formally agreed County safeguarding policies.
If you, as a player (under 18 years or an Adult at Risk), their parent/guardian or anyone at all wish to raise concern in respect of anything relating to the safeguarding or wellbeing of a player in these categories, speak to Alison at the club or via the contact details provided on the Sandiway Members Area on the website.
